Does anyone here, own or know someone who has a madstad windshield on their Roadglide. I have a 2015 Glide and I am curious about how the windshield does on the road ?
Never ridden one on an HD but I've had them on two other bikes, Vstrom and 1050 Tiger. On those bikes they flat out work, you set the height and angle as you like, end of buffeting. Its a really good system on those machines.
If you're buying a new one from him he offers a ridiculously long ride policy where he will take it back for a full refund. I'd call him to discuss it to be sure he still does it but he sounded pretty determined to make the offer.
I had a Madstadt windshield on a different bike, a Honda F6B (Goldwing), which has a large fixed faring like the Road Glide. It was very effective in shooting the stream of air over my head/helmet and creating a "bubble" of calm air on the highway. The forward shield could be adjusted up/down and tilted at different angles, but the adjustability may be different for the Road Glide. I did not care for the appearance, too busy for me. However, it was quite functional.
