We road a little over 200 miles today, the handling is more controlled like when turning around in the middle of the road and sharp turns. A better fit to my shoulders and upper body strength. This is a pick of the morrows under the bars, they have good visuals no issues and keep the air from deflecting off them on your hands. Next going to see how far they will pull back. I'm liking the bars so far.

This took 1/2 the time of the complete job, oh an maybe get a tool specifically to remove the wire pin connectors, you dont have to have it but it would be easer.
Wow, they look great!

Could elaborate a little on the use of the switch wire extension kit?

I just ordered a set of 10" Yaffee Monkey Bagger bars for my 2014 Limited. Yaffee stated that I wouldn't need any extensions at all.

Thanks for any info you can supply.

Btw, you've got me rethinking the 10", the 8" looks awesome on your limited.

They look really great! Do you think they could work on a SGS without me having to replace the stock mirrors? BTW I'd like to know how tall you are, since you say they are so comfortable for you?

Measuring the stock bars from the end to middle of the bars 24", measuring the Yaffes from end to middle of the bars 30 or 31", best i can measure with them installed.
I had read the same thing about not needing the extension kit and had to go back and get them, luckily my dealer had them in stock.
Like i mentioned the wires are tuff to get through the bars, but for the controls to fit correctly you will pull the slack until there in position. With that said im confident all the available slack in the wires were pulled through the bars, and there is not enough left to reach the plugs.

I was going with 10" too and actually ordered them and called back before they were shipped. After continuing to read and look at as many pics i could find but on the Yaffye web sight there is a measuring chart and it appears they may measure differently, think this is what changed my mind at the last minute. I absolutely did not want my hands above the fairing..

I have not road a SGS, but from pics the stock mirrors are not going to work with these bars IMO. Im 5'8" average reach, the grip angle is better for me, its more like a dirt bike and dont pull the top of my fore arm as much.
The bars are all the way to the faring now and have me setting straight up, but i can pull back or kinda hang and stretch my arms and relax my back, i think.. Anyway next thing is to remove as less crap as possible to get to the hex bolts and pull the bars back as much as possible and ride some like that. Will try and get measures between all the way forward and all the way back.

Thanks guys, if you got something else dont hesitate to ask or PM me.

Thanks for the heads up on the Switch Wire Extension Kit. I stopped by my local dealer to pick that up today. $25 bucks for 6 inches of wire .

69200034 is the correct part number for the pair of wires that are labeled 69200035 and 69200036.

Your pictures convinced me to change my order from 10" to 8" bars. Now I just have to wait a couple of weeks for the bars to arrive.

Any other installation tips you can offer would be much appreciated. I have the service manual. I am making the huge assumption that you did not have to break the hydraulic lines at all, so no bleeding or ABS flash issues. Correct?

Those look great !! I may order a set myself .

I have a couple of questions if you don't mind:

Your using heated grips with those bars ? the P&A book mentions on all the heated grips " Not for use with internally wired handlebars " but I was thinking maybe you could anyway.

Didn't see you mention having to change your clutch cable or brake line I'm guessing it wasn't necessary ?

On a 14 limited the heated grip wires are ran internally the control wires are not. But all the wires are internally now. The wire kit 69200034 is required $30,read through the thread i mentioned most of the high points. the Yaffe bars are an exact fit, the bends fit the inner faring and the hand controls fit perfect right up to where they go to 1.25" size.

Only had to loosen the clutch and brake hyd lines and turn to fit and look good. like i mentioned running the wires through the bars and the wire connectors are the pain in the a$$ and the clutch controls also. but it is defiantly worth it to me. Think these bars were made specifically for these bikes, as tall as you can go and to keep your hands behind the fairing. good luck

I think smaller mirrors mounted on the top would look better. That's the way I'm going.

I'm with you, looking for a taller, pulled back handlebar that I can keep stock mirrors. Let me know if you find the answer.
