Loosen the heel shifter and note its position; if you don't want to move that one, and remove it. Then loosen the toe shifter, note its position and slide it off; keep it in line and rotate it forward to suit your taste and slide it back on. Tighten it. Then reinstall the toe shifter. Test for clearances, make sure the heel shifter doesn't hit the birds if you've lowered that, too. Done. The main hing is that you have to remove the heel shifter to adjust the toe shifter.
also worth noting when removing the shift arms take the bolt out completely , don't just loosen it. And when re installing make sure the bolt lines up with the groove in the shaft.
Thanks all for the replies. Got the top bolt out, but man that bottom one is giving me fits.
When I was picking my bike up from dealer, I noticed the toe shifter was to high. A tech came out with a long allen socket on a ratchet and easily adjusted it.

I am with safetyman on this I am a heel shifter and have the extended heel shifter. It sits just behind the floorboard and gives me the whole floorboard to put boots on.
Hey, Viper. I see that you changed out the seat on your Ultra Low. Is it any more comfortable than the stock seat? Does it sit you even lower than the stock seat? I'm finding the stock seat on my Limited Low very hard compared to my 2012 Ultra Classic stock seat. Not sure how well it is going to do on the 12 hour days I'm prone to do.
The seat I have is a Mustang Low Down seat, I had it on my 2008 SG and it fit's 08 to 15 Touring. The reach seat on the Ultra Low pushes me too far forward. The Low Down is supposed to be lower and narrower than a standard Ultra seat. I really have not had much chance to put many miles on the Mustang. The stock seat on the Ultra Low seems to fit just slightly lower than the Low Down but it also pushes me forward so I'm not 100% which one will be my favourite. Seems like the Low Down is lower than the standard and just slightly higher than the reach seat on the Ultra Low.

After riding the last couple of days (40 miles round trip to work and home) I have discovered that an extended heel shifter is near the list of my must haves.
