I have a 2014 Ultra Limited and want to install an intigrated garage door opener. I'm favoring the HD system for no other reason than its coming from the same company that built the bike. Flash2Pass looks to be a pretty similar system at a little lower price. I'm not interested in placing an opener that came with my door on the bike as I want to keep things looking clean and out of sight.
I'm looking for user experiences with any openers or any other systems that might be out there. Thanks in advance.

I love the Harley garage door, have never had a issue. So nice, just flick your hi/low beam switch and the door opens, or closes.

It was one of my first mods. My previous bike was a 07 CVO, the opener came factory. Never had a issue.

There may be cheaper and easier systems. There is only one factory system... Its really not expensive.

I had 'Flash to Pass' on my '09 Ultra, in my personal experience, I will not go that route again. I often had to ride right up to the door before it would work. Very well could have been poor positioning of the transmit/receive elements on my part.

I did the DIY method on my 08 Ultra and most of the time I had to be close to the door before it would open.
I have the HD opener on my 14 Ultra and really like it.

The biggest issue I had was if I forgot to close the door as I was heading down the drive way, I would either need to turn around or try to point the bike at the door.

With the HD unit I can open/close it from the street. It's also nice not needing to try and push a button while riding on gravel.

Go with the HD opener you will be happy with it, and it's only money.

Here's what I did....FWIW......I went to Lowes and bought a small, keyring sized garage door opener and programmed it to my garage. I then got some velcro and put it INSIDE the right side of the "Jukebox" door on the right side my dash. Still plenty of room for my iPod. Now when I open/close the door, I just open the juke box door and press the button of the opener thats velcroed inside.

After a few months with the HD system I am very satisfied with it. It's simple, reliable, and most importantly out of sight.
I installed it myself and the instructions were easy to follow. The only thing I did different was pull power from the lighter socket instead of installing the aux power harness. I don't use the outlet much at all and the short power demand of the transmitter seems to work fine. Thanks to all that replied to my post as well to those that offered information in other threads.
