Just had the update done #3 I think. We still have the same problem we have had from day 1 . The radio besides taking a really long time to boot up still defaults to the weather band. They have tried all kinds of things. Still does it. The are talking to Harley about replacing the radio , but with this being the only problem should I . They think it is a power issue so we will see.
Just my 2 cents but you paid a good pile of $$ for that radio. It should work properly every time. If they can't fix it they should replace it. Any good dealer would agree.
the only problem I have had so far is that it will all of a sudden switch to WB while riding -- and I am pretty sure with the good weather we are having, there is no weather alert

They test the WB alert system a lot. Turn off the alerts option & it won't do that.

Get used to the boot time. Replacing the radio won't fix that.
The weather band default is just a settings issue. Sounds like it might be time to sit down with the 2015 radio manual (it's much more detailed than the 2014 manual). Don't expect your dealer to fix this for you; they get paid to fix stuff that's broken - this isn't something broken, only set wrong. You spend a lot more time with the bike than they do - take the initiative to learn the radio system. You'll be happier in the end.
I did the update and I can tell no difference, my radio would swap to the Ipod at will sometimes after about a couple of mins on the bike before and it still does the same now after the update.
But can anyone tell me how to turn the GPS off without turning the voice prompt off? I cant seem to find how to just tell it not to do nothing or find how to turn it off until needed.

Once you have a route running, the prompts will continue regardless of which screen you have displayed unless/until you cancel navigation.

Select the Nav page so that the map is showing. Select the map menu functions. Select "Stop". That will end your routing.
My USB is working way, way better after 18.3. I've only had one instance of "Playback Stopped" since download, and that may have been my fault. Just make sure you don't have one of your music apps manually set to play on your device.
