2015 Limited Low

Upgrade to Hertz Mille Pro 165.3 Speakers Front only this month
Installed Rockford Fosgate TM400x4ad Amp
Installed Rockford Fosgate DSR1 Processor

Tight install, very limited space. Ordered from Digi-Key, Molex plugs so as not to cut any factory harnesses. Limited modification to the speaker pods as the Hertz speakers will not fit inside. So far as of this posting, sound is definitely better than factory, but having an issue with the DSR1 which could possibly a defective unit. Waiting for tech to answer email with suggestions tomorrow.

I do plan on adding a second pair of speakers to my lowers some time.
what does the flash do?

No "upgrades" here. I've probably used the radio a total of 3 hours since buying the bike.

Bought it to ride, not to be constantly F-ing with the electronic gadgets.

But that's just me...

huh...but apparently you do have time to clutter up the thread. Wait a sec....nope, no "No "upgrades" here" option in the poll that I can see.

The flash is the HD software that tells the HU what signal to send and to where. Many dealers are now refusing to flash radios and will almost surely charge you if they do it. The reason we flash is to open up all four channels (fade control) as well as to flatten out the EQ that is put out by the Rushmore HU. The "flattest" flash is the 2 amp/8 speaker flash. Dealers lost access to this version when Boom 2 came out. The flash you want aside from that one is the stock Ultra flash which is no amp, 4 speakers. This sends signal to fronts and rears at the HU and even though you're on a SG, if you have the Boom 6.5, the HU has rear outputs which can be tapped into should you want to use fade control. A fader on motorcycle audio is pretty useless, but if someone wanted to fade, that's how you do it.

I just answered the OP's original question "Who has upgraded their Rushmore audio?"

U don't like what I have to say........ u don't have to read it......

I'd think that u would rather be out playing with u'r radio........ instead of wasting u'r time reading and being frustrated by my post...... anyway...........

I went with a new helmet from J&M with their Elite headset installed. The stock unit puts out more power than I can use with them.
