Default Need advice on radio options

I have a new 2013 Street Glide. I have an older Hogtunes 24.2 amp with the speakers that came with the kit and I see they have a bigger amp now.

Should I just use what I have, upgrade to the bigger Hogtunes amp, or one of the biketronics kits replacing the stock radio. I cant afford to do an amp with the biketronics kit but would the better stereo sound better?

I appreciate any and all suggestions on what to do, quality vs money.

In a word, yes. (To an better amp) Any home/custom built system will sound better than hogtunes. But you would greatly benefit from an upgraded amp. And if you switch to a BT kit you won't be disappointed. I did and I'm not looking back. SO MUCH better than stock.

Post this in the audio forum. You will get more info than you can imagine.

IMHO, I would install what you have. Save your money, and when comfortable, get the Biketronics 2180 amp and 7.1" speakers.

You could save some money and go with the Rockford Fosgate pbr300x2 and Polk MM651 speakers, but many are having problems wit the Polk's durability. I plan on ditching mine this winter and upgrading to the Biketronics system.

I would upgrade the speakers first. Polk mm651 or biketronics 7.1 titans would be good place to start. Than more power, RF pbr300x2 amp is a good choice (problems are with the RF 4 channel). Unless ya sit around blasting your system, the only real reason to upgrade the head unit is to get modern features. Some better speakers and amp will blow your hogtunes setup away!
