I was glancing through the latest edition of the HOG magazine and there is an article about the "premium ride hand adjustable" shocks in there. It says that they come standard on the Street Glide Special, Road Glide Special, Ultra Low, and Limited Low. Why would they limit putting them on those models only instead of just across the board on all the touring bikes? And yes...I'm venting because I bought a new "regular" Limited which wasn't included in the group
My SGS came with them - just took them off and put on a set of JRI-B's. They only had 30 miles on them when I took them off Tuesday night after work - let me know if you're interested in buying mine.

That and a 6.5gt, factory security & ABS I believe???
I bought a set of the premium shocks off Ebay and ordered the security and ABS on my bike. All I lack now turning it into a "special" is the 6.5gt.
I guess I should have said one of the things that puts the S in special also the black painted inner fairing , I've been on the lookout for some premium take offs myself.
I have the low version on mine I am very happy with them. I keep them at one click one up and two up. We are light people though I'm about 175 wife 110. I'm doing the front suspension next week. One thing I noticed is a little better rear shocks the front seems a little bouncy.
For those of you who have swithed out the stock air shocks with the premium hand adjustables, what there a significant difference? 90% of the time, I ride solo. I'm trying figure out if this is an upgrade that I need to do or use the $'s for something else.

All the models you mention have an inch less travel than the standard Limited. My father has a 2010 Street Glide with the shorter air shocks, and its a pretty harsh ride compared to the longer air shocks on our Limiteds. The "Low" also costs more than the standard Limited, so they aren't throwing them in for free. Personally, I would rather not pay for them and save my money for a better quality aftermarket shock anyway.
I've got the 13" hand adjustables on mine... not the low version.
HAD the 12" low version... swapped with a member here that wanted to lower his a bit, and it might be the best thing I've done.
That "best thing I've done" part makes me want to throw mine away this afternoon and try longer ones or something different all together. I'm sorry, and dont mean to offend anyone, because its just my opinion, but I think they are garbage. I took my time and adjusted them, then adjusted more. Cant get anywhere with them. I could ride all day down the bumpiest highways and interstates all over NY with my stock 09 RKC air shocks, and theres exit ramps I avoid with these pieces of **** because I feel like I'm going to shear a shock mount off. Maybe its just me because I'm 6'2" and 280, but I've seen some big ol' boys riding the same street glide, and often wondered how they do when they come to those slight bumps where the bridge seams to the road on overpasses.
If anyone else feels the same, let me know please. Its enough to make me send it down the road just to go back to a road king. I would feel silly putting anything too big in the rear end, causing it to raise the bike up and look like an Ultra with no tourpak. And I've pondered air ride, but the idea of adding more parts that could fail when im miles away from home riding alone makes me timid to pull thr trigger on that idea.
Your in the UK so all bets are off there..lol.. I know there are several differences with UK bikes due to traffic laws there. My brother bought a 2014 CVO Limited last year with a $42k sticker price and it came with air shocks...lol
You're on the money there Webo, I have the 2015 CVO Limited (in the UK Ł30,295) and it came with the same crap air shocks as before, I have vented at HD but received no response , not that I expected any!!
2014, In came the Rushmores with the better handling front end, with 49mm (yes metric!!) forks, WHY DID'NT THEY DO SOMETHING WITH THE REAR END?? Ł16,000 BMW 1200RT's come with ESA semi active suspension????
I'd rather have had better shocks than the the new Headlights
