Hi People,
I seem to be asking a lot of questions since I got my new bike and I'm sorry if its been asked before but I can't find a link if it has.
When I plug my ipod nano (1st generation) into the usb connector it registers within the media but that is where it all goes wrong.
The display on the ipod gives a tick with a message safe to disconnect. The screen on the radio highlights a track but won't play and says reading ipod, it recognises that there are 600 plus songs on it and displays the album artwork but nothing else.
Have connected my iPhone 6 with Bluetooth deactivated but here again no music will play.
if I activate Bluetooth the music plays but will not detect my play lists
Can anyone advise please.
The software is up to date according to the HD web page.
More them likely you won't be able to use it I had the same problem with a early iPod it wouldn't work . I took the same IPod and tried it in my 2015 GMC and it wouldn't work in the truck . Worked fine in my car I ended up using a Thumb drive works fine .
Problem's the ipod, not the bike. Load your music on a USB. Works great.
You need a newer generation iPod for it to work with the software. Cheapest solution, just buy a thumb drive. Just highlight and copy the songs from your playlist(s) on iTunes and paste them on the drive. Set your radio to shuffle and you're done. No conflict with software, and if someone steals it is a lot less money lost. I used my phone for a little bit, but caught myself forgetting it was plugged in when I got off the bike. Now I just use the flash drive 95% of the time with 1,000+ songs. Once in a great while I might stream Pandora from my phone. If you do connect your phone make sure it is a compatible cable, most of the cheap replacements don't work properly.
Same problem. 2011 RGU CVO came with stock ipod. Software is current per iTunes. Works fine in my 2011 BMW X5 so iPod is functional. What are you guys plugging the jump drive into?

A Rushmore bike.
I know nothing about a 2011 CVO except it doesn't have the same radio set ups as 2014 and above. Thread is a couple years old, but still about Rushmore's I think.

Thanks
The first generation nano was recalled for battery problems, go onto the apple website find where you can enter the serial number and if its on the recall, they send you an envelope to send it back to them and a few weeks later you should receive the latest 16GB nano, I did it with mine and my daughters got new ones no problems!!!
The new nano works flawlessly on my 16 RGU.
