I rode in there as well and originally bought a "gun fighter" seat that ended up being SO skinny that it showed all the wear marks on my tank and under seat fenders (I have pics of this too).
I rode to San Fran afterwards and after noticing this rode back to the factory and promptly exchanged it. They actually built a FULLY custom touring seat just for me, laid new fiber glass to their existing mold and all. They even shaped the back end to look "stock" appearing. I was originally not happy at all but after waiting 3 weeks for my custom seat to arrive Im finally pleased.
I would NOT recommend the gun fighter seat thats for damn sure. The dual touring looking seat CAN be shaped to look like a factory seat if you ask.
- 2 month wait for a standard seat
- Incorrect seat after 2 month wait.
- 2 month wait again (still waiting)
- Inability to properly process their own documentation to produce a seat.
- Terrible customer service (have never witnessed such a lack in all my business dealings)
- Refusal of refunds for their mistake
They may have been around a while but trust me, not worth the aggravation. Many other quality suppliers out there. I think Corbin feels their s..t doesn't stink.
IMHO......👌
Truly - sorry you had a bad experience.
I made an appointment on Monday (3/16) to go down Wednesday (3/18) at Corbin's in Hollister, CA. Made the two hour journey and got there at 8:30am.
They were fantastic - and Mike Corbin (the original wizard) gave me a tour of his entire facility. The seat was spot on. My 1st seat I purchased there 8 years before and put 100,000 miles on that one. Mike was/is a hellva guy.
I tell everyone - don't order it - go there. Getting it made on-site is the ONLY way to go. I've never ordered it on-line. They customize every seat on-site to your personal specifications.
I went into the Ormond Beach/Daytona store just over a week ago. One of the sales guys who was manning a phone was very unhelpful and uninterested even though I had the cash for a seat. Luckily another guy who was walking the floor was extremely helpful and went out of his way to sort me out with a Hollywood Solo for my SG. He had even offered to get me a seat shipped over quickly from CA. It just shows it can be down to individuals who either promote the business or do the opposite.

Very true. They say the attitude starts at the top. I only hope those in charge at Corbin realize the reputation they have earned.
My Corbin solo seat is a cinderblock, it's now sitting on the shelf. I wouldn't sell it because I wouldn't want anybody to have to deal with that brick.Mustang solo seat with backrest for me.

Sorry to hear that as well. I ordered a custom corbin gunfighter and it was delivered in under 4 weeks. I ordered a dual tour and backrest on March 6th and it will be delivered on March 26th.
Installed a Corbin dual tour on my last bike, a 07 CVO Glide. Good quality construction and style, just too hard for my taste. Went with a HD Hammock on my new Limited. Much more comfortable. Might be my age, lol....everyone is different.
I've never had a problem, happily riding 4 seats, plus backrests and pillions.
One of them, put so many miles on it, wore through the leather. Had them re-cover/re-foam it, and went smoothly.
Newest seat, went heated and had a question on the electrical. When I called, my call was transferred to a tech right away who answered my questions fine.
I won't give it a second thought when I get future seats from them.
