Anyone have luck "importing" a gpx file to the 2015 Boom navigation unit ?? Have tried everything & can't get it to work. Even bought a new flash drive in case the old one was corrupt. No luck. The Garmin was a snap to import to, but this HD system has me baffled.
Assuming you have the GPX file on a thumb drive. Insert the thumb drive into the USB port on the bike. Go to the NAV screen on the infotainment screen. (I'm going by memory now) in the upper right corner should be a menu button, press that, then you will see an import option press that and will list all the files on your thumb drive. Only select the GPX file you want to import cause it does breakdown all the waypoints. Select that file and it should walk you through the process.
Now to navigate that route go to "where to" then in the bottom right corner is "more" press that and you will see "trips" press that and you should find your route you loaded.
Thanks for the reply, but, I did all that & it does not work for me. Have retried many times in the last 3 days to no avail. The Garmin that came on the 13 CVO was so easy to use,but this HD system really sucks. I have a 15 Limited Low now & followed the book but it just wont work.
You have to make sure your thumb drive is formatted to FAT 32 (most of the newer thumb drives will not do this). That is the only type of format that the Infotainment system will accept.j

You may have other problems...I can import ANY .gpx file whether Garmin, HD ride planner or anyone and it goes in just fine. Have the dealer do it...if it works, it was pilot error if not, they will fix it. And actually the latest version of Infotainment DOES'T suck...it's darn near ironed out and works VERY well.
You shoulda' been around for the first release in September of 2013. LOL...That's when it REALLY sucked.
