Default Will the dealer do software updates

Will the dealer do software updates to the boom box? I bought my new Street Glide from my dealer last fall. Isn't this something they should do at no cost, seeing as to how I bought the bike from them?

I think it's a mixed bag of those that do it for free versus those that charge. I have a buddy that just comes up with an issue for his Boom and the dealer always just loads the latest software under warranty. I think ihis normal complaint is that his AVC doesn't work.

Yes, it's done for free. You can ask your salesman when you visit your's or any dealer.

Your updates are to be checked and updated each time you bring your bike in for service.

I think it depends on the dealership. A good dealership that cares about after the sale customer satisfaction should certainly do the updates at no charge. Its literally as simple as plugging a USB stick into the bike. If they complain about, or want to charge you for that, then take your bike and money elsewhere.

Not free unless you are having issues.

Very simple to do yourself

I asked my local dealer when I scheduled my 1000K, and they said they would update it for free. Don't know if this is considered under warranty or not, but either way it should be gratis IMO.

They may if you ask them, but it is technically labor. Why not just take the 10 minutes and do it yourself.

It's free under warranty. No labor charge.

My dealer just did it for free because it wasn't working for me. Still not sure what I was doing wrong.
