Default Minor issue with MCHitch install

Installed an MCHitch receiver hitch yesterday. I ran into one minor issue I thought I'd mention. The first step in installation is to mount the receiver/plate to the saddlebag/fender supports. You replace the mount bolts with longer supplied bolts and then slide the plate onto the bolts (the plate is slotted so as to slide into position). Well I got one side in position and there was no way the other side was going to line up with the bolts, they were one complete bolt slot off. I pulled on the saddlebag support and pushed on the fender. I could get with 1/2 of a bolt hole but no more......and I was not comfortable with the amount of pressure I was putting on the fender just to get it that far. One quick call to MCHitch solved the problem. He told me to loosen the two fender strut mount bolts on each side and that would give me enough play to line the bolts up, and sure enough it did. The rest of the install went great (I was going to say "went without a hitch" but that wouldn't make sense).

Great product and great support. The black powder coat blends perfectly with my black bike.

No my warrenty is not void. The reason I went with MCHitch is that it is so easy to remove. I asked about hitchs and warrenties when I bought the bike. The service MANAGER told me that if I have a problem with my infotainment system they are not going deny a claim because I have a trailer hitch. He said if I had a clutch, engine or transmission issue.....pull the hitch before I come and report it. A friend of mine had the dealer install a hitch for him before he took delivery of his 2015 SG, do you think the dealer voided his warrenty when they handed him the keys ?

If your dealer told you this, you need to find a new dealer....
