I'm pretty sure the rushmores first sold in 2013 and the one you can buy today have the exact same map, but I've been wrong before.
No, there are two different versions. There's a thread on here where those of us that bought the 2015 when they came out took pictures of the map database info.

Hmm, just had my Lexus updated a couple months ago and it sees the new roads and the express lanes... It all comes down to the subscription that the OEM pays the map provider and how much it costs for updates. I don't know about other autos and how often they update.
Who said anything about knowing the current roadway. DFW is a big area and if I am headed to somewhere I have not been, it would be nice to have more up to date content and not have a gps that wants you to exit at the next exit because it thinks you are on the wrong side of the road, or have you take a different road becasue it thinks you are on the service road.
Never said it would be fun, just the way to make sure you find where you're going. After all, you did spend the jack to update the cage maps.
Got ya... I have no problems finding my way but I do appreciate your insight and such a helpful post and all. And, no "jack" was spent as it's included by my dealer. Smhhh.

Why the hell didn't HD use Garmin in their nav systems? At least their maps are updated quarterly and for far less money! Garmin pretty much sets the standard for navigation systems.

That would be the standard for portable navigation systems. Although there may be some, I'm not aware of any OEM vehicle manufacturer that uses Garmin for a built in, integrated system.
