Any time I run an auto tune session, I first APPLY the learned cells, wether it's 42 or 67 or whatever. After I APPLY those values, I ride some more. After some miles ( no set amount for me 40or50), I APPLY the learned cells again. Which involves waiting for the app to do its thing, turning off the bike for 30 seconds as instructed and then turning the bike back on, as instructed. At that time the app says " Bike Programmed" and there is a done button , which I click. At this time I go back in to that auto tune and FINISH? Which sends the app back through the motions of turning the bike off and then back on. Bike runs great, G
I know, that's what I did yesterday and it worked great. On my second run I repeated all the same steps and it went in to that FU(king " error try again, and like before on the 3rd try the map goes all white and every thing I just did is lost. This FP3 that is so easy has so far been a big pain in the a$$. My son is going to spend some time with me next time and see if he can make it work. As of right now all I see is $300 lost. If it won't work right next time, well I cant say on here what I will do.
I put the canned map suggested by V&H and my bike runs so much better in all areas. I have not auto tuned and wonder if I ever will. I am afraid of exactly what your running into. Keep us posted.

I got mine back to the V&H map. Mine is a bit sluggish on take off and the motor shakes more at idle. Runs good otherwise. I wish I knew what the hell is going on when I auto tune. If my Son cant get it to work right, then no one can.

Did any of you get a "error try again" like I keep getting. I just talked to them for the 3rd time and he said when my screen went all whit on the 3rd try the means the values loaded. I told him it didn't show like any kind of loaded values went in to it, but he said if the screen went all white then I'm good to go. I just called my Son and he wants me to run her 3 moor times load the values after every 30 miles or so and then hit finish. He don't trust the 3rd one I did the other night. I will up- date tonight.

Apply means that you are taking the data that was recorded and applying it to the map without setting the AFR map back to its original state. This allows you to continue AutoTune. The grid will then reset and begin recording data again on top of what has been applied from the previous session(s) without setting the AFR table back to what is was originally. The AutoTune AFR table is set to all 14.45.
There is no need to go AutoTune again until after you have flashed the changes into the bike and see how it performs.
What people do not see on the background is that you cannot flash corrupted data. The FP3 will verify the data and generate what is called a "valid checksum" for the ECM. This states that you are not flashing incomprehensible data and creating an error. There are many system checks that are performed behind the scenes to protect users from such issues. This is why it is important to always have the most up to date firmware and application.

I've never gotten the error try again, but after you populate some cells and hit apply, the screen is gonna be basically blank again because the system applied what it learned. But in order for it to fully complete you have to then click finish.

You have to have the bike not running. I had this happen to me. Turn the ignition off and after a few minutes, put the ignition to accessories and try again. I had the same thing happen to me too and this stopped it from happening.
Hi! I was having the same problem as you with the error message when applying the autotune values. I talked to V&H today and learned something I did not realize before... you have to be in an area with good cell phone service when you flash the autotune values! And contrary to what someone said earlier... wifi connection is ok to use if 3g or 4g service is not strong. You phone needs to be connected to the internet for the autotune "apply values" or "finish" to work, because this info is uploaded to V&H at the same time! I was trying to do this function in the boonies with no cell service. Will not work!
