Very nice scoot! I have said that I'll never buy new, but with the deals you guys are getting, it doesn't pay to buy one a year old with a little miles vs brand new with no miles.Best of luck with it!
Always said the same, as well as selling my old one outright vs. trading it in. The deals are out there, you just have to find a dealer willing to offer you one.
I looked at my old paper work, and I paid $1500 dollars more for this than I paid for my '12 FLHTCU in fall of 2011. I thought I had got a good deal then... ?
I have to add, Harley finally makes a Gold Wing... it really is an impressive machine.
I purchased my 14 Limited in Daytona Blue Pearl in August, 2013. Paid full MSRP without freight or dealer prep. Seemed good at the time. My main motivation was my trade. A 07 CVO Ultra, traded that bike in with $10,000 ( plus sales tax and Lic. ) for the new one. I doubt that my 07 would still bring $17,235 trade in today. No Question, now is a much better time to buy a new Limited, not so much for the trades.
If your buying without a trade, your in the drivers seat!
OK - calling a spade a spade.. My 2014 Limited was $26939 plus 435 freight plus 750 prep plus 190 doc fee. I really cared less what his prices were - simply because I had a figure in mind as to how much I wanted to write the check for.
I made a great deal on the difference in my trade. I was happy - and that is all that matters. Could share my trade value and can prove it - but what does it matter. I was ready to buy or walk. my 2011 was just perfect.
Funny story, I asked my first dealer to accept my check for the price I wanted. Sales manager told me to go home - and not wait for the phone call. I went to another dealar -he met my terms. First stop - the old dealer and I told him...I did not wait.
