Right now the CB antenna side has what looks like a threaded hole where any water could collect and eventually rust.

I suspect the CB antenna base probably has a short, threaded rod exposed to screw into the hole on the tour pack.

My plan would be to take a screw the same size as that on the CB antenna base, cut off the head of the screw and put that into the hole and then put one of these vacuum caps over top of the screw.

I inspected the post and found what looked like a very small hex socket. I did not take out the tour pack liner to see if maybe there is a jam nut on the other side. I picked up a pack of assorted size vacuum caps today and will put on the post tonight. Believe I'll put a little dielectric grease on the post before hand.

?? A 2015 Limited comes with the CB antenna & the AM/FM antenna. You no longer have either antenna? They both use the same size threads...

Stopped by the dealer yesterday.
Turns out HD makes a short (about 1" long) threaded rod that fits into the base on the tour pack where the CB antenna would go.

All I need now is to get another vacuum cap that matches other side and I'm good.

Thanks!

The hole for the right and left side is 5/16". I simply removed both of the threaded assemblies from the bike. I have a short rubber duck antenna installed the the am/fm side cable inside the tour pack laying horizontal. Works great and I'm in the boonies almost 50 miles south of Dallas, TX.

You could use a vacuum cap from the auto parts store. I took the right diameter heat shrink tube, cut a piece with a little extra, cut a round (more or less)piece, put it inside the tube on the top and shrunk it together. Molded it with my finger as it was shrinking. it looks like a cap.

Take the liner out, unplug it and remove the whole thing - fill the hole with a 5/16 plug and some clear silicone.
