I've removed the FM and CB whips from my tour pack and replaced the FM antenna with a shorty. I would like to cap the CB antenna post as I don't anticipate ever using that function. Has anyone else done this and what did you use to cap the threaded post. Thanks in advance.
i dont have he cb on my ultra classic and there is a little black plug in the spot where the antenna would go. maybe ask the dealer? im guessing you would need to remove the threaded post.
Your welcome, just go to NAPA or PepBoys, and they will have them
Didn't know that, thanks! I lost one of those antenna caps in a friends trailer, I went to Lowe's and bought those hooks that hang on a pegboard, they had the little black caps on them. Took the cap off and with a little tape under it fit pretty good on the antenna. I'll have to get a pack of these caps for the next time...
Why would one need to cap this? If you buy the rubber grommet like the opposite side has it cover the hole completely. I guess it could rust if you ride a lot in the rain?
