Default Ignition Fob
Quick question from an HD newbie - how many fobs come with a new flhtk? What is the cost for a spare?

i got 2. I got 2 w/ all my bikes...from CVO to a Heritage.

I see fobs listed for 30 bucks US on Ebay and i think 45 from the HD.

I now have a good collection of fobs over the years. I use them for battery replacements. I always have an extra fob battery handy.

Yea you get two of them linked in to the bike alarm. You can buy a third if you like, the dealer has to link it with the digital tech.

Yes two, with every bike iv'e purchased, and everyone else i know. You should have received 2 from the dealer

I'm buying it used, picking it up tomorrow. I wasn't sure what to expect for the fobs.

Set/reset your security code also. Instructions in owners manual.

The bike should come with 2 FOBs. You can buy another FOB but I think you can only have 2 FOBs programed to the bike at a time. OP in your case if you only get 1 FOB with the bike you should be able to purchase another FOB and have the dealer program BOTH FOBs to the bike. This will also prevent the "missing" FOB from working with your bike.

2 FOBs when new. $45 for a replacement and they may or may not charge 1/2 labor to code it to the bike. Don't ask how I know.

Good advice, I already looked up the steps to recode the PIN number.
