I removed to the heel shifter and used red loc tite on the bolt and torqued to spec no problems so far.

Thanks for all the info guys. I might be removing the heel shifter here after I get it warrantied. I agree that I think it's a poor design. I'm wondering how the earlier glides are set up

MOCO probably switched to a Chinese vender to save a couple pennies.

That's funny because I have a cheap Chinese knock off 2" extended heel shifter that I took off my previous bike and put on my Ultra. I think I paid $39 for it. Almost 38,000 miles on it and never a problem. Maybe they should switch to this vendor.

The rod that goes thru the primary cover / crankcase. It attaches on one end to the heel/toe shifter and the shift lever on the other end. That rod along with the front lever stripped out

I actually just got my scoot back today, they said that they have seen it happen quite a bit so might be a good idea to check the torque frequently. Covered under warranty with no issue but still a damn annoyance
