It mainly started a year or so ago, when creeps were stealing CVO bags. All the creeps had to do was slip a screwdriver into the spring clip & snap it. Those bags with power locks were very expensive. Even locked they could be gone in minutes.
I just finished putting these on, cost a little more than the hardware store but you can't beat the convenience of a **** and they have a lock that prevents them from falling out.

There is a nylon washer that clips on the threads of the bolt after they go through the hole in the bag which keeps them from falling out when taking the bags off.
