A couple of times now during cold start take off, my engine would pop and I would loose power momentarily. It wouldn't quit but I almost dropped it once while turning.
It doesn't happen all the time but enough for me to take notice. Runs great after. Common issue or should it be looked at.
Mine does the same. Seems cold nature'd for a few minutes after startup and I know with EFI that ain't right.
I also have a huge amount of vibration at speed (its in the engine) when the engine is hot, so maybe a weak injector or Map sensor or something.
I think it says in the owners book to allow it 30 seconds to a minute to warm up from a cold start before riding.
I always leave mine sitting ticking over at least until I've got the gate open, and the tickover is down to 1000 rpm. When its really cold this can be as long a 2 or 3 minutes. Give it a couple of miles to warm through before I rev it hard. After that anything goes.
