Default concidering air suspention

I'd like to put an air system on but I currently have ABS and don't want to part with it, as well as a JL 400\4 amp in the fairing. Since I have a CNC plasma table I was thinking about just cutting up a bracket to go under the fender (providing it all fits at full travel) to mount to the strut mounts behind the filler panel. I'm thinking 14 Ga and has a curve to cover the pump from road debris and keep water off it.

what do you guys think? I haven't looked under there yet, I know there's not much room though from taking off the reflector from the tail light bar.

Look at dirty air. They have a mount that goes behind the bag. There is also room under the fairing, it's where I put mine. The strut mount behind the bag is slick, did that on my buddies road king.

thats slick! I have an amp that takes up all the room in my fairing so the strut works perfect!

I have a shotgun shocks set up. They are expensive but a nice set up. They allow adjustment of height as well as adjustment of air pressure in the shock at any height. *edit* The compressor mounts to the right shock which makes the whole thing easy on and easy off.

However...had an installation issue (my fault - not enough zip ties on the harness) that coupled with an aftermarket part incompatibility (aftermarket rear fender that is a little lower, when aired out the fender sat on the tire) that left me stranded on a Thursday night a few weeks ago. Ended up taking the set up off and went back to stock shocks. Haven't decided if I am going to put the air ride back on, sell them or save them for a future build.

I have to say the bike rides better on the stock shocks than air...but it does look good dropped.
