Can anyone tell me whether by putting on a high flow, it should make a highly loud sucking sound? Put on a Kuryakyn Mach 2 on my '14 Glide and it's so damn loud when I twist the throttle, it pretty much drowns out the exhaust. I've checked and rechecked and it is seated correctly. Not too mention it doesn't run near as good as with the stock A/C. FP3 remapped per V&H recommendations.
Not exactly sure what your sound is like, but I installed a stage 1 A/C, header and slip-ons and thought I had an exhaust leak. Took the headers off twice before I realized it was air sucking in from the A/C as it should. I'm not familiar with the FP3, but can you identify if you are running too rich or lean and tweak the tune?
Same experience as rcrankin. After stage 1, headers & tune I thought I had exhaust leak also. You can really hear air sucking in the intake but I have a power vision tune from fuel moto & my bike runs great.
Plus Three!
Sounded just like a exhaust leak. Replaced gaskets three times as the Rocket Scientist service manager at my dealership listened to it and said I needed to make an appointment and have them fix it. When I asked if it was safe to drive it he replied, "You will ruin your engine"!
Had a excellent indy listen and he said "No Leak, No Problem"!
The Ness Big Sucker ac is loud. I say "learn to love it just like the louder exhaust"!

My STOCK Rushmore Road Glide has a lot of "Sucking" noise coming from the breather when I nail it,, Can't imagine it being loud enough to drown out the exhaust! I am watching threads on intakes, cause my next step is Intake, FP3 and Pipes, looking at the Pro Pipe... but not sure yet.
I usually run a Ventilator which is not typically a loud intake; however, I put one on my 14 and it sounded just as above - loud and annoying.
Took it off and put back on the stock AC with a washable K&N (not performance).
That sound I hear reminds me of the old carbureted cars when you were under the hood working on it and had the air cleaner off jacking around with the throttle.
