Tried the Harley Windsplitter 10", Klock Werks Flare 11.5" and the freedom Shield 10" windshields and picked the Freedom Shield. Windsplitter still had alot of turbulance, Klock Werks great for the driver but turbulant for the passenger. Freedom Shield thicker than both, very good optically and the price was the best. I tried all with vent open and closed, really didn't make much difference on all 3. Check your dealers they have demo units and Freedom you can try it just don't take the protective coating off send it back if your not happy with it. I was amazed at the amount of buffeting with the stock windshield, I hope this helps.
Does the Freedom Shield "wiggle" less at the top? That's the biggest annoyance with the stock shield for me, the vibration of it disrupts my vision a bit, but only at certain speeds and a stop of course.
I just put the Klock Works 9" on my Road Glide and love it, no buffeting at all, still playing with the front vents some but the Klock works works great.

I have a feeling that one rider's breeze is another rider's buffeting. That said, I think we agree that if the goggles are shaking and you can't hear the music, it's too much. I added a 12" Windsplitter to my 2016 RGS and was pleased. I've since added lowers and the "fangs". I get a nice air flow which is not disruptive. May not be for everyone, but it works for me.
I have the 15.5" windsplitter on my RG. it does a fair job with turbulence. honestly if I had to do it over, I probably would have gone with the 19" Harley windshield. the one thing about these windshields..... they do the job, but they are ugly as hell to me. lol
I like nj08SEUtra's response"one riders breeze is another riders buffeting" which is so true. I just recently picked up a 2014 Rushmore and the buffeting was the first thing I noticed. I also have a 2006 Ultra with a Klock Werks shield that works fine on it. The Freedom being thicker I did notice less shaking only to a certain point. The Klock Werk Flair with the side contours seemed to suck the air right on the passenger.
The one thing I do want to mention is the Rushmore seems so much more stable at the higher speeds 75+. Really a nice ride, next up pipes and suspension.
