1. How do you remove the fuse cover? see pic
2. I may have shorted the battery tender circuit and want to check the fuses/relays. Which fuse/relay monitors the battery tender charge circuit?
Thanks
The DC side (wire that connects to the bike from Battery Tenders) usually come with a 7.5A or something inline spade fuse. Connect directly to the SAE plug that comes with the bike. For me, I installed a Powerlet outlet on my handlebars for my GPS which also has a 7.5A fuse directly to the battery. For ease of access, I plug the tender directly into the Powerlet outlet with a cable they sell.

People seem to be over-complicating this simple thing. The Battery Tenders are smart-chargers. Leave it connected all winter if you want, no problem. I do this with a cover on the bike.

You've got that backwards. The tender lead is fuse protected. The cord from the tender is not.

Yeah, OK in the case where you plug it right into the bike's connector. In all my usages I do put a fuse on the DC side. I have 4 of them on batts over the winter and I fuse all the DC sides. Was thinking of all my setups.

I found this in this very thread...you must have missed it.
