Whenever I stop to get gas or for whatever reason, when I start my bike back up the music always goes back to the radio. I want to know if there is any way to make it stay on media?
go out into your garage... start your bike, set up your Media how ever you want it... turn bike OFF - wait a few minutes (longer than 60 secs) THEN -- turn switch ON and WAIT till the dash goes thru its little dance and is DONE - then start bike and see if it goes to where it was?
I often run with my radio OFF --- I found if I do NOT wait for the dance - it goes to radio or what ever??? also, needs to sit OFF for a few min,,, why??????????????????

Thing I do when filling up, or stopping for a short period is put bike on accessory. It will leave infotainment on, and also set the alarm and turn off headlight. I do turn volume down too.
You also can go set your "favorites" to media. The default is tuner.
Like harley0711 mentioned above, it is best to wait untill infotainment fully boots up before starting bike or it sometimes gets confused on the last music source.

Use media and bluetooth through phone (music not calls) i always have to set it back if i shut the bike down and the phone is being used for music for media it's hit or miss I've tried all kinds of stuff nothing fool proof yet but I'm hoping MOCO is coming out with a update to fix it should come on to last set IMO
Did all of the above (except leaving the radio on), plus, going back to media is basically a crap shoot, might do it 2 or 3 times a day and then not again for a week. And i always go thru a full boot, so this is still an outstanding issue.
Pretty sure this is an issue with the 19.1 software update. I have noticed since I updated to it a few months ago, I have had way more problems with using my iPhone. It either wont recognize it or it recognizes it until I start the bike and it stops the playback. Wish they would figure out the issues with the infotainment.
I think it has to do with the head unit searching through the available media libraries at startup. If you have large audio libraries it takes the head unit some time to read the contents and it rolls over to regular radio (AM/FM).
I confess that this isn't scientific, but if I plug in a thumb drive with GBs worth of music files, my head unit will almost always roll over to radio once I turn the bike back on. If I plug in a thumb drive that only has one or two GBs worth of music on them, sometimes the head unit will default to the source I was listening to when I shut the bike off.
I've read on here and I've also heard from my dealer that there's an intermittent voltage problem to the infotainment system at start up and that accounts for some if not all of the problems we see. My head unit was replaced with a brand new one and it acts exactly like the original one did. I'm not too sure how a software update will cure any of this and I'm accepting that it won't so I've learned to live with workarounds.
