Default Rear wheel alignment....

I've noticed all along since I bought my bike, there is a difference of space between the tire and inner fender support. On the left side I have 3/4" and 7/16" on the right, the wheel has never been removed. Is this normal? I would think the main focus would be the drive belt tension then, adjust the right side to match.

Any ideas?

I believe its just the offset of the rear wheel.

My '14 Limited is the same way. Seems like the clearances should be even on both sides, but they aren't.

I've never done anything to "align" the rear wheel of my Touring bike. The cams on the axle are pretty good at getting it close. For me, close is good enough

My Dyna with separate adjusters is another story. I use a piece bent welding rod to measure from the center of the swing arm pivot.
