+1 I was between the 4" Rineharts and the V&H twin slash mufflers. The Rineharts are perfect. I liked the twin slash mufflers on my Fatboy, (which are smaller than the touring mufflers. Comparing the two the Rineharts are more throaty. I can't speak for the twin slash mufflers on a touring bike though.

I added the 4" Rineharts as well, the way I selected the mufflers was determined after multiple trips over a season during the monthly events, this provides an opportunity to hear live the sounds of the different exhaust systems of all the bikes that show up.

I was always drawn to the 4" Rineharts, they just have that nice deep rumble and talking with the owners they have stated what has been stated here, nice rumble at idle, nice growl at acceleration and not loud at highway / cruising speeds.

There are several manufacturers that have disc type mufflers, you can adj by adding or removing the disc for the sound level you prefer.

im running the vance and hines monster ovals and I am EXTREMELY happy with them. I will tell you, if you are listening to mufflers on youtube, you will not get a true feel for the sound. I did just that and did not get the real sound until I had them installed.

I've heard Bassani DNT mufflers and liked them a lot. Deep and throaty like the name says. One thing I'd mention is the stock AC on our Rushmores is widely considered a high flow AC already. Certainly adequate for a stock motor. Unless you're looking to add a different style you could probably just add the muffs and tuner and save a little cash.

Do NOT waste your time on YouTube sound - play that same video on different systems / speakers and it will sound different every time - about the ONLY way to listen is find a bike JUST like yours with same headers then maybe you can listen... Sorry, but that's how I really see it..

I used Rush (bought thru Cycle solutions - better price) Call and talk to Catfish - tell him Michael the Firefighter in CA sent ya, lol) I talked to him at LENGHT and got the big louies - got the SB2 then pulled the 3" baffle and put a 2.5 - for ME it sounded better.. and their Customer service is 100% - they stand Behind their muffles

note - if your leaving the Cat IN like I did - you are pretty much restricted in the sound you will get.. pulling the cat will give you better sound - However - big ??????????????????? on weather or not that may or may not effect warranty down the road - if you do Not give a crap about that - pull them -ME, I am leaving them

Yes, I've heard the same thing from many different sources. I wasn't going to do the filter, but I found the kit at my dealer for 75% off. So for around $38, I figured what the hell since I was saving $110 on it.
