Ok I promise I searched and can't find anything. I'm a short guy with a '14 SGS and I'm trying to do everything I can to get my feet on the ground better. I sat on a Ultra Classic Low and really liked the narrow primary cover for clearance for my left leg. Has anybody tried one of these on a Rushmore Street Glide? How about an inexpensive source for the part?
If you want to see/feel how it is on a SG, just go to the dealer & sit on a '16.... they come with them stock now I think.
Cheap? Probably not going to happen. Try online at Boardtracker HD, Surdyke HD, etc.

As others have said Narrow Primary is standard on 2016 touring bikes. Yes it makes a small difference.
Where I noticed a difference was walking the bike in tight places better footing.
When you add up all of the small gains like narrow primary, 3/4inch lower shock , seat
It adds up to a bike that does sit lower . To convert to a narrow primary is not cheap but not hard to do. $350.
I got a new dealer takeoff from HD store on ebay. $150 w/ derby cover. Installation was straight forward. I had 7K on the bike so I went with the $35 HD gasket. About 3/4" more room on left leg. Very Happy. Not so Happy if I would have paid retail, like $400 I think. Also got the chrome bolts to finish the job. I feel was worth the extra $45. Again, lucky ebay deal.
Added to my 2014 this past winter. It helps a little. I'm 5'10" so not too short. My problem was my tree trunk legs and my calf contacting the cover. I figured a little extra room couldn't hurt when moving it back and forth, and it made for a nice xmas present from the wife....
Good idea there checking the takeoffs on ebay for crashed 2016's....
Short legs here too. Have you addressed the seat? MCC will narrow the front of your seat pan and lower the height using a better fill product. Almost a 2" pickup. Helps immensely. Also added ohlins 2-2 to rear and picked up just under another inch and better ride.
