Yes, we do. I've read up on it. That's what was behind an earlier post when I said I'd let them keep fixing it until they get it right or get tired of trying. (It has a lot of warranty left) . If they throw in the towel, they'll make me some sort of offer. If they fix it and it works, I'm going to trade it for something that hasn't had so many hands rearranging it's innards. Either way I think we're close and lemon law arbitration can take a long time to resolve. Lemon laws are for situations that can't be resolved through other means and I get the feeling that these guys want to do the right thing and will if it comes to it.

So I've got the bike back and so far the cooling system is working normally. I'm monitoring it very carefully from here on out.

The work order notes are a little difficult to follow so I'll try to sum it up. Tech services had them meter out the wires using the break-out box between the ecm and the various parts of the cooling system. They noted an intermittent high resistance on the GY/GN wire (ECM Plug 78-B-2 Pin 15 to Disconnect Plug/Jack 232LA/LB Pin 3 to Cooling Temp Sensor Plug 236B/A Pin A). It is not clear to me from their notes whether it was an end-to end fault, end to disconnect, or end to ground. I would have liked to examine the harness in depth because I suspect corrosion. Anyway, they first replaced both the main harness which gets it up to the disconnect 232LA and then later after a further failure the segment from 232LB to Plug 236B. If I were a betting fella, I'd put money on that segment and after I got the wiring diagrams and understood the system, that is where my money was anyway.
They test rode it the next day and got the CHK E and High Coolant light (WTF!) tore into the system and found a "blockage" in one of the cooling lines. I asked the counter person what this mysterious "blockage" was but she couldn't tell me. All back together and the system triple purged/burped/topped off and ridden about 35 miles the next day and all seemed well. I picked it up and rode it home got my rain gear on and took it for a short 50 mile ride. Almost dumped it on a freeway on ramp! Wasn't even going fast either, probably 15-20 mph leaned a little into the ramp, started to come up on the throttle slowly and the rear end broke loose! Rear went left probably 45 degrees (felt like 90) and then back the other way then straight. That would have really sucked. Anyway got on to the freeway and going through the gears. . . .no gear indicator on the speedo. FML. Rode with no other issues in light rain. Back to the dealership for Taco Thursday and reported the speedo prob. Turned out the clutch switch is bad. (That also affects cruise control, by the by) It is stuck 'in' so no gear indication and you also can't engage cruise control. I am giving the warranty department a workout on this bike!
Put another 100 or so on it today and when I parked, the fans were running prior to shut-down and continued to run for about a minute afterward so I think we're back to normal. I think I'm going to locate these plugs I mentioned and look them over. Maybe hit them with some water-displacing compound before washing.

Found a dealership that called Harley, getting a new thermostat under warranty, since mine had run out a week prior to engine light, and temperature light. They said it's The thermostat. But for the information, and if you find out what wires, if it wasn't the blockage all the time, keep us posted. I'll probably have to do my own work next time there might be A problem, tnx again for the update

My buddy and I both have 2106 Ultra Limited and while we were on our way to DC both bikes had water pump failures. My bike has 2000 miles and his has 4000 miles on them. No one on the east coast had pumps so we trailered back to mid-west and had the pumps replaced and new thermostats. After about 200 miles both bikes had the engine lite and temp lights come on again. Fans would not work. Going back to dealers we bought the bikes from and find out what is going on.

IT was my understanding the bikes could be ridden with a pump failure because just cooling around the exhaust valves. Is this not correct?

I was told this by a dealer manager, but cannot verify it, And by the way, after all said and done, They replaced thermostat, coolant sensor, and in the end it was a bad water pump, replaced, and so far so good
