Hog covers

Just put a set of HOG COVERS on my saddlebags. These things are great. They fit as advertised, go on faster than explained in the video. Having a black bike, being clear, they are perfect. I like them better than the clear film. Check them out at www.hogcovers.com beerchug::icon

My concern would be dirt trapped between them and the points they contact the paint acting like sandpaper on the paint.

The answer is yes. In my opinion these are a solution looking for a problem. Our paint is protected by a clear coat. When the clear coat gets scratched it can be buffed out once a year. It can even be reapplied.

They don't sit directly on the top of the lids. There is space between them. When you wash your bike, you just pop them off and rinse them off. The way they fit around the edges of the lids, I don't see how much dirt would get in there. Time will tell.
