I could not agree more! My friend has a Zuma and it is so superior to my HD GPS we do not use mine for anything. He suggested it is haunted by a demon, I think he is on to something.

I have to agree with the masses here.....the nav is the biggest weak spot on these bikes. I use it just for basically finding out where I am and to see roads coming up. I had a Zumo 660 on my '11 and it worked way better. I have a Garmin in my truck, and it rocks. If that one wasn't a big 7" screen, I'd toss it on the bike, but it's too big for the handlebars If I made more long trips with preplanned routes, I would most definitely buy an aftermarket gps.

I do like the features of the Boom like BT, mp3, etc, but the nav could be way better. I wish HD would just leave the gps stuff up to the pros (like Garmin) and use one of their systems, or have them design one for HD.

The bottom line is that the MOCO could have done a better job. Just because of pure greed to put such a cheap POS in an otherwise superior bike is not necessarily in favor of HD. A Garmin wouldn't have cost that much more. And to top it off, the MOCO puts a two year old software in the BOOM Box of a brand new bike and has the audacity to ask 150 bucks for an upgrade that is just as outdated. And there are people who defend this shoddy practice. Its unreal!

It's mind-boggling.

That's an understatement at best. You're so right.

Has anyone updated to 2014 Q2? Just wondering if you noticed any difference.

The problem isn't with the GPS. The problem is with whoever was hired to program the coordinates for the POI's. If you input the address for the HD dealer you'll get there so the GPS is working just fine. The only issue I have had with the GPS routing me incorrectly has to do with the map in the GPS varying slightly with the Garmin map in BaseCamp which I use for route planning. On occasion it will try to take me a few yards down a side street for example.

You know, I would fully understand if the MoCo had deliberately crippled standard Bluetooth functionality in the BOOM system in order to force you to buy a $500 Bluetooth headset from them, the one with the Willie G skulls on it, but they don't even sell a Bluetooth headset.

The one that I was told "has Bluetooth".

The one that the Harley-Davidson web site says is "Bluetooth capable".

The one that my Owner's Manual (which you don't get until after you buy it, obviously) tells me to "go to the H-D web site for a list of Bluetooth devices (plural) that will pair with your BOOM Infotainment system".

Of course, when you go there, the "list" has a grand total of one "devices"; smartphones.
Then I guess you have merely demonstrated your ignorance on a subject you speak authoritatively on.
