I traded in my 14 SGS for a new 16 Ultra Classic. Obviously there are model differences, but the only year to year difference I've noticed in the narrower primary. Car manuals typically covered year ranges...so I'm thinking there are likely very few changes between the 14 and 16 touring manuals. Since I have prepaid maintenance and don't plan any serious mods...the manual is really just reading material anyway. I'm thinking the $50 for a 16 manual would be better spent on weeks worth of steak dinners. Anyone know of manual differences that would be important enough to give up a weeks worth of steak dinners?
Sorry can't speak to '14 to '16 changes, but I do happen to have both the '15 and '16 Touring Service manuals and I haven't been able to find a difference between the two books yet (except for the titles on the cover)
I can't comment on the changes to the general "Owners Manual", but I can tell you that the "Boombox Manual" increased from 126 pages in the 2014 manual to 248 pages in the 2016 manual.
The user documentation improved substantially in the 2015 manual, and even more for 2016. You can find and download a copy of the 2016 manual from hd.com

Good point.
I download the newest year infotainment manual as it keeps changing a little bit with the updates.
