Default Service Manual question.

I searched and could not really find the answer to this. Will one manual from say 2001 to 2006 models be sufficient to cover those years? Kinda like almost any touring manual from '09 to '13 pretty much covers all of them. Main concerns are engine and transmission specs and procedures.
Thanks.

Yup; however, if you are referring to the factory manuals, they will cost the same so why not get the one specific to your model year? If you are considering after market, best to stick with the factory manual which is very good and much better than an aftermarket offering.

Thanks djl. No, defenitely the factory Harley Davidson manual, not a Clymer. Just looking for a way to have the right information without having to store 25 different service manuals. If I can use one manual to cover a few years, like in my question, then I am good. For instance, I own a 2015 touring service manual that I use on '14 to '16 touring bikes. Just looking to do the same thing with other model years. I have the 2017 touring service manual and a 2011 Softail manuals as well. I have other people asking for "favors" and I have a hard time saying no. I just want to make sure I have the right measurements, torque specs, dimensions, etc. available.

You can do that but it's good to know the differences between the model years.. For instance when looking at a 06 FLHT,, the fork guts will be different from previous years. When looking at swingarm bearings for an 01 FLHR, it will be different than ones on and 02 FLHR.. Its good to know what changes happened when.. The good thing is that most general service info is the same..

And there are things like the Timken Bottom Ends that only ran for the first few years of the TC...
