Default Corbin Backrest Adjustment

I recently bought a Corbin 297-SB backrest from a member here for my Classic Solo, but it did not include instructions or the screw that goes in the very bottom of the mounting post that goes into the seat bracket. If any of you have that backrest, can you tell me if the missing screw is what I would use to adjust the angle of the backrest? If not, how would I adjust the angle to move it forward? The Corbin website says it "adjusts to individual's posture for a tailored fit", but I'll be damned if I can figure it out.

On my ovel back backrest there is a mounting screw at the bottom for mounting to the underside of the seat.
To adjust the angle of the backrest, just below the padding on the backside of backrest there is an allen screw that you adjust.
Hope this helps.

Here is a link to the Corbin backrest installation instructions. Yes, there are different size screws that will adjust the forward and aft of the seat post. (This may not apply to the solo seat) An allen screw will adjust the actual angle of the pad.

Call Corbin and they should be able to send you some different size screws.

Dang, I missed that in my installation instructions. I have the Classic Solo with backrest and it is leaning way to far forward. I looked at it where the square stock goes up into the backrest but I didn't recognize an adjustment. I'll have to look closer when I get home tonight.

I found it. It looks like the backrest itself only swivels and doesn't move forward or backward. I guess that's because I have the Classic Solo. I made a small adjustment and it seems to be a little better than it was, but not much. Oh, well, it is what it is. Thanks for the help!

My back rest on both my corbins ONLY tilted forward or backward by adj of the small allen screw at the base of the seat - its not much of an ajd.

Your way in VA - however, what is so cool about being in Hollister when your seat is built and the back rest is built... YOU sit and have it ALL MADE to fit Your body... I know you got yours off another person - Still that back rest can make all the difference... I just came back from a 500 mile ride and I fit my seat like a glove, reach to the bars are perfect and back feels great.

Even though it's not nearly as adjustable as my Harley adjustable backrest was on my stock seat, the Corbin backrest isn't too bad. I just got back from a 30 mile ride and, after that small adjustment, it made a big difference. And, I might add, the Corbin Classic Solo is fantastic. It has made a huge difference and I don't feel nearly as bad now for spending so much money on it.
