Maybe someone can shed some light on my new problems..
Last week I was traveling and rode about 4 hours in a very hard rain, by the time I got to where I was going my check engine light was coming on and off, also the red light next to it. I was told something got wet and it will be fine, well, it still comes on after a week.. Checking the codes, It is saying lost communications to basically everything .. the ECM, BCM, speedo, ABS, Stereo, left hand controls, right hand controls, and a few more codes.. while the check engine and red light are nothing changes, everything still works and runs great.. anyone have any ideas?
I am not a mechanic but if it were me I would try disconnecting the battery and reseating the cables to the ECU. Then see if it is fixed it or if the symptoms change. Along with that check out the wiring harnesses to be sure they are all good to go.
