Just used the navigation to take side roads to the Black Hills from WI and back. Did a stop at the dealer and the road was off by a bit. Overall it did a great job. FYI, I input on the bike, I don't load routes from the laptop.
That said, if you rely on ANY GPS to get you where you're going, you're taking a risk. I always familiarize myself with my route and know the basic direction. I've had Garmins send me the wrong way every bit as often as the SGS gps.

Was this your business trip you alluded to in another thread? If so who do you work for and how do I get hired :-)
Last weekend, i went on a trip from Des Moines, IA to Lansing, IA to Winona, MN to Lacrosse, WI to Prairie du Chein, WI to Galena ,IL to Savanna, IL to Anamosa, IA back to Des Moines.
I preloaded the trip from Ride Planner to Prairie du Chein. On the fly i added our hotels, restaurants, Lacrosse HD, and the rest of our towns and stops. Including the National Motorcycle Museum and J&P.
Most of the trip was 2 lane highways and county roads. Very little 4 lane highway and about 5 miles of I 90 because of construction. The nav system worked flawlessly. Well, one little glitch. It told me to turn into the parking lot at Lacrosse HD about 40 feet early. I didn't follow the directions over the curb and grass, I don't need nav for everything. Lol

Yep - that's the one. I was given the Sturgis project back in January and thought maybe....just maybe....I can parlay this into a road trip. The Gods were smiling on me and it worked out. It was friggin awesome! Couldn't have planned it better. Some customer face time on Weds and a Go Live on the following Monday. Naturally, being the company man I am, I volunteered to ride out and just charge the mileage vs repeated $1500 flights. I'm a team player ya know.
So in the end the company saves money and I actually profit (57.5 cents per mile x 1700 and all expenses paid) from a 8 day road trip. I love my boss.

Yes - there will be a road report in the winter.
Lucky you! I'm jealous! My boss is a major douchebag!
The more I use the navigation, the more I hate it. I posted on here before (and was blasted for it). Just did nearly 1900 miles. 3 of 4 HD dealerships were off by at least a 1/2 mile (most more) and some not even close. Dealers knew about it... had been in current locations for many years. HD of Asheville, NC. HD of Cherokee, NC are just examples.
Other issues:
1. Tells me to turn left, when i need to turn right (screen and voice don't always match).
2. On several occasions directed me to turn onto an intersection where one road went over (bridge) the other.
3. Several times wanted me to turn onto a "road" that looked more like a cart path (golf)
It will get you where you need to go in a pinch, but it has quite a few more flaws than most nav systems i've worked with.
The only solution I'd be willing to pay for is Android Auto for motorcycles. The maps in my 14 limited are outdated and I'm not willing to pay $150 for the upgrade to 2 or 3 year old maps.
Mine also messes up directions from time to time but the real issue for me is the old maps.
Back on the topic of changing the addresses of the pre-loaded Harley Dealer stores. I can't find where the pre-set addresses can be changed. I'm inclined to think they are hard programmed in along with the initial screen shot. Once again, Harley type planning. Never occurred to them that a store might move sometime in the next 10 years or so.

No, your not going to be able to change the built in POI (Point of Interest), as those are built into the map.
This isn't just an issue with the HD either, as I have seen the same wrong locations on Google maps.
Same thing on my stand alone Garmin GPS also.
The only fix for these issues is a map update.
Of course you can also manually enter the correct address and save it as a favorite.
Funny, my 2008 Road Atlas has the same issues. But I sill plan trips with it.
And I've had three friends separately call and ask if we really lived at the MacDonald's, 1.1 miles away from here, where they all got sent; with three different brand GPS units. That map error probably won't ever get fixed on theirs. At least my trike knows where I live.
