Default 16 FLHTK prices

I'm reading about how dealers have been told to clear out the 16 touring bikes and that "smoking deals" are being seen.

What do most of you classify as a smoking deal? I've been offered $24,400 OTD in GA. This includes trading in a 2010 limited with $10,200 owed.

If you like the deal go for it. Doesn't matter what the rest of us think. Shop it around to a couple other dealers if you want. Trading is easier than selling to a private party but probably costs you a few bucks, time and inconvenience- dealer will profit on the new bike and reselling your used one.

You can also counter their offer by offering a price a few grand less, worse they can do is say no, or counter.

There are also things like asking for free service, bling, etc....

Make your best deal and get to riding that new Limited, I think you'll really like it.

I appreciate your response, but quite frankly it wasn't what I asked. Whether or not you think I'll like the bike is irrelevant. I know I'll like it, now I'm just trying to quantify it in terms of $. I know this comes off as 'dickish' but the response doesn't help the conversation and is likely to derail it instead of providing the answers I'm looking for.

It does matter what the members of this forum think, otherwise I would not have wasted my time to ask the question. I've solicited opinions on how to quantify a "smoking deal", and the easiest way to do that is to solicit opinions and experiences from those on a Harley motorcycle forum, it's that simple.

Nice. Kinda a snarky response to someone trying to help, not to mention his advice is right on.

I think free is a smoking deal. You might pay more. Hope that helps...

Couldn't agree more. Someone offers their opinion and he is a total dick about it.
A smoking deal to me may not be a smoking deal to you. We could pay the same amount for the bike, but my taxes, fees, etc etc may be way cheaper. So i got a better deal right? In the end if you pay a price you are happy with does it really matter... If you can't take the advice given from the first poster, then there are many people on this forum that can or will want to help you..

Damn, for crying out loud...some of you guys don't get it. I admitted it was a dickish response but it provided ZERO value to the question I was asking. I've been on these forums long enough to know it would quickly get derailed with people just like him telling me to "be happy" and "only you know what a deal is" instead of actual #'s people have recently paid for a 2016 Limited.

I just bought a 16 Ultra with Nav and security for 14 OTD and traded in my 14 SGS with 22,700 owing 8k for comparison

I would tell you all about all my Limited purchase and the smoking hot deals I have been hearing about at my local dealerships, but based on your response I wont bother.

Enjoy!

Yup, definite *******. If you have seen all these posts then my advice is to search for those threads again. Because it doesn't seem like you want to hear what people have to offer.

low retail is $11,400 on that 2010 bike so that loan is a push compared to bike . list on 2016 limited is about 28 i don't know what sales tax is in Georgia assume 7 % that puts u at 30g list plus bs fees
i would say its a smoking deal for a 2016 limited 6 g off is 20%
