Dropped around 30 degrees around the heads. Yeah, you can tell a big difference.
+1, my 14 Limited with water cooled heads runs so cool I really don't notice heat at all. Compared to the 07 CVO electraglide I traded in, night and day. Would buy water cooled heads again.
Also of note, the new style lowers work extremely well. You can open them up on the fly for great ventilation and cooling. Close for full protection.
You and a crap load of Rushmore are trading in....The used bike market will look good for me....Hell, I sold my buddies Heritage with nothing but chrome for 10k....2010, 6662 miles....so many used bikes flooding the classified....It will hard to sell the Rushmore at asking price???
LOTS of nuts out there that just HAVE to HAVE the NEWEST THING!!!!
If the moco engineers were smart enough they would figure out a way to retrofit all of their bikes like this with either oil or liquid to cool them.
They could make a **** ton of $$$$
Im really quite surprised to see that the liquid cooling didn't get expanded to all the touring bikes. Kinda figured that was inevitable. Guess we know now that air cooling is gonna be around for a while still.
Lot of marketing goes into that. They did make the others oil cooled heads .Oil pumps through the heads like the coolant does. It is not as effective but seems to working well so far. It is not the first time HD oil cooled heads.
There are from what I have been told some differences in the ports in the oil and coolant heads.
Enjoying my M8
