I had about 2000 bucks worth of stuff on my 15 road glide and they gave me 18500 for mine. But I definitely came out a winner in one way. I had a very bad deal on my 15 road glide. I went through my credit union and got a MUCH better interest rate. basically my payment is 50 bucks lower and ONE YEAR LESS on the new bike. I am not complaining at all.
On another note, I left my gremlin bell on my old bike. They let me go back there to get the bell. in the service area they had a white board back there. on the board, they have in big letters WE NEED RUSHMORE ROADGLIDES.
The bell stays with the old bike lol have someone buy you a new one

my old lady got it for me and I really like this bell. Her exact words to me. "these are the only ***** you are allowed to look at when I am not around"
If you are in the market for a trade, make the best deal you can. If you are selling outright, make the best deal you can. The key is not to be desperate.
Sold (private) my 2006 completely stock Ultra Classic in November 2013 for 12.5 K, about half what I paid for it. Supposedly took a big hit in 2007 when the 96" motor and 6 speed came out, supposedly took another big hit in 2009 with the new frame, still got half my money back. I'm expecting somewhere around 2021 when I sell my '14 Limited I'll get about half my money back...
Probably will go down at first just like the pre-Rushmores did. Of course it's possible that they become more valuable as the last generation of Harleys that could be easily modified.
Who knows, but I've got mine about where I want it and I'm hanging on to it for a while.
I like my 15 CVO Road Glide, and knowing there is NO M8 CVO Road Glide for 17 makes it all the better. Even with the 110, I am still running numbers to the stock M8 114
sure they'll pay it off in the trade, they can do anything with numbers.
That was my thought as well.
Regardless, it's all academic... I just wanted to see one in the flesh. I've no interest in trading mine in - I got the ONLY year for a RGS in Black Quartz, and I've barely gotten to know her yet. Heck, we're still in the honeymoon phase!
