That doesn't automatically mean that the bike is totalled at all. Even if the frame is trashed, it doesn't mean it's totalled.

Similar incident with my 14 a couple years ago damage similar $13,000 and the insurance guy asked if i wanted a new bike. The dealer said no frame or suspension damage so hell no fix it I have to much $$ into it and pulled my shattered bag out put some paint on my fairing and rode the bike waiting for the parts to come in. Should be your call,also every painted part except front fender and tour pak and fit and finish was better than it came from the factory. Good Luck whichever way you go.

Glad your Ok with minor scuffs bruises...

I would take the total and buy new, suppose they miss something (that don't affect it till way latter) and look who is working on it ... FYI
