std height windshield rain experience
Ok, I am learning to like the reduced height of the windshield as compared to my 2010 batwing setup. With the vent open, I get very little wind in m face at high ways speeds.
How does this setup fare in the rain? On my 2010 I was just barely looking over the top of my Clearview recurve shield and in the rain it worked pretty well.
On the new bike, the shield doesn't even come into play as in vision field.
I know in theory the slipstream stuff will simply whisk the rain, like the air over my head. Is that reality?

Depends on the windshield shape I would guess. I have a 10 inch Windsplitter which is well below my sight line. The rain gets diverted over my head at highway speeds. Slower, not so much.

I installed the Clear view standard height windshield with recurve on my 14 Limited. Worked perfectly, except for rain
Recently I installed another Clear view recurve windshield. The next size up. A little taller and wider. No more issues with rain. I'm 6 ft tall, also worth noting, have a Hammock seat, sits a little higher than stock.

Believe it or not, the stock shield is still a little tall for me as I don't look over it easily after I settle in. I switched to an LRS 8 inch. Rain comes over the shield with both if it's really coming down. I don't mean coming down to the point where you shouldn't be riding anyway. I mean a steady rain.

I am 5'7" (which is part of my reason to buy the Low). I noticed for instance when listening to the sound system at highway speeds, with the vent closed, the audio was not as clear as when the vent was open. So that tells me something about the air flow working as "billed." Since buying the bike, we have been kind of dry here in Central Texas and have not had any rain to experience.
As far daily, not wet, riding, I like the current shield. Time will tell how I like it with rain.

This. I have the two shorter Wind Splitter shields. The shorter one is for our TX summers. The other goes on once the weather turns and stays cooler. I don't do rain once the temps drop into the low 60's in the fall to late spring. In my early 70's, I do not need to get sick at my age. ymmv
