Thanks all for the info.
Ive heard that the power duals drag on corners, dangerously so.
What map did you guys with the decatted header use?
TexGuy, was going to try that but thought getting rid of the cat.converter would work best, what do I know though...could still flash for what I have now then again if I make mods, I guess
TB, the base map would be V&H power duals and Monster Rounds, install 1 firecracker. Run it for 1/2 tank of fuel and several ignition on/off cycles. Auto tune if you need to from there.
RW, you lost me "decatted header and add power duals" ??
My bad I meant to say decatted header with his high out put slip ons.
I have the decatted header, 4" Rineharts, SE air intake along with the FP3 and what a difference. Better throttle response/power and no heat on the leg. If the OP has any questions on the mapping, call V&H they are very good on answering questions.
I am running a 2015 Street Glide Special with an Arlen Ness Big Sucker intake with the OEM cover, American custom bomber slip-on mufflers, the catalytic converter has been removed from my OEM head pipe. I have a FP3 installed.
When I called Vance and Hines they suggested I use the "twin slash rounds with power duels" canned map. So I did.
I have not noticed any low end torque loss but my MPG did drop a couple of miles per gallon. After about 3 tanks of fuel I ran an auto tune. I didn't see much of any difference after the auto tune.
To me, my bike sound fine and I am satisfied with the performance. Could it be better? I am sure it could. Will I do anything to improve the performance in the future? Possibly. But for now, I am happy.
