saw the link, will that seat move you BACKWARDS at all for more legroom? it doesn't appear so? (unless I missed it)
not seeing any seat dimensions on the site
I have no idea, I really just felt like buying something and I am curious about it, the Saddlemen ultimate explorer worked perfect for us and it still does, it doesnt push you back but it does raise you higher giving more leg room, until this seat, the Road King was way to crunched up for us, my Yamaha 1300 tourer had much more room.
We really didnt want a seat to push back, simply because it then takes away room from the passenger. My wife, petite was not happy the way seats pushed back took away room from her, we take day trips most summer which are 2 + hours each way, for your passenger to be comfortable you need to give them some room to move around on trips..
I have the Mustang Super Touring seat which is 1 3/4" back from stock. I am 6' and my wife is 5'10" and we have no problems with this seat using a King Tourpak.
Other items I have are:
Floorboard relocation brackets (Kuryakyn)
Extended Brake Lever (Kuryakyn)
Extended shifter lever (removed the back one) (Kuryakyn)
LA Choppers Twin Peaks 12" Bars.
Clearview Recurve Medium height Windshield
Fugly Fangs (fork mounted wind deflectors) (Harley)
This has worked for me pretty well to open up the cabin (so to speak) and keep the wind from beating me to death.
I ride two seats ...one is the 14 and up Hammock when my daughter rides as she slides forward on the Russell. I wanted the tall boy, but it looks funny with the tour pak.
Our Russell Day long moves me back almost 2, and it does take away room for the passenger... but my wife likes that...as it puts me closer to her. Of course this seat is awesome and we can ride as far as the gas tank will take us
