i did, but the slot for the hook looks very narrow and doesn't look like a standard strap hook will fit. so these may not be the best option for me after all. we are going to florida on the auto train in may and i need to secure it on their pallet thingie.

Safest tie down you can use when hauling a bike. Takes one good bump and the S style hook can come unhooked.
Soft strap around the front fender mounts to the tie down. This allows the suspension to work. It also doesn't compress the suspension, possibly causing a blown fork seal. Trailered my Roadglide like this plenty of times, no problems.
Remember to check your straps occasionally to make sure they haven't loosened up.
To everyone suggesting the H-D tie down brackets...they don't work on a Road Glide. The Paul Yaffe brackets will work on a Road Glide, but not on a Road Glide Ultra, due to the lowers.
