Ditto on this method, hauled my Street Glide 700 miles in the back of my brand new F350 when I road it to Dallas, Tx to buy my new truck. Never budged, and "Floated" on it's own suspension.

I use the around the downtube method on my Flhtc as a redundant and the bike never moves. I do put some microfiber cloths to protect the paint.

I don't think any of those work on road glides unles ...I think the turn signals are where these need to be attached...I may be wrong...I think that is the reason they won't work.

i am thinking soft tie through frame and around engine guard, but looking for opinions.
wrap your strap around the fork tube right above where he fender meets. This will give a solid point and will allow the suspension to travel so you won't blow seals

I think I'd be worried about those hooks on the straps sliding out if the trailer started to bounce...maybe some kind of carabiner clip instead of the hooks?

I suppose anything is possible. . . I've never had any issue with that, though.
