I wired new plasma rods on my '14 FLHTK as per the instructions (same as several other members have done). Mostly works correct EXCEPT when I apply the brakes instead of bright red, I get both rods glowing amber! I tried swapping wires around, but still get the amber rods. Any ideas? If these are the instructions you used, then the red wire from each unit should be connected to pin 4, connector 94B that feeds the circuit board behind the tail light assembly. This is the brake signal & is listed as BE/R wire color in the bike wiring schematic. Since the schematic doesn't identify which wire is the brake light function on the circuit board output, connector 93A, it would appear to be either pin 3 or pin 4, since pins 1 & 2 are both labeled as running light functions (1 for USA models, 2 for International models). But, I don't know that for sure from the schematic, hence my suggestion of pin 4, connector 94B, which is labeled as the brake signal (comes from pin K3, connector 242B of the BCM connector).
