I wonder if it might make sense to have a separate forum just to deal with the seemingly endless issues and possible fixes for the "infotainment system" on the Rushmores?
JP
I can see your point. But then it could end up as every problematic issue will have its own forum. Besides, there already is an audio forum. Maybe more fitting there, though less traffic.
Sorry you find them offending. Doesn't matter to me one way or the other.
It just seemed like a separate forum would be useful to the folks who actually use the system and have to deal with the glitches, bugs, updates etc.
You're spinning this the wrong way, I DON'T find them offensive at all, I'm subscribed to almost every one trying to learn things about the system. You're the one who seems to find them offensive, you comment on every one of these Infotainment threads that you "don't use the system", "have NEVER used the system", "WILL never use the system", didn't buy a motorcycle to listen to music", even in your earlier post you referred to it as an expensive clock. We all get your point, you don't like the system and don't use it, no need to repeat it in EVERY Infotainment thread, you can just ignore them and move on to something else. Most audio threads are clearly marked so you know what the content is before you get into it, pretty easy to ignore. And as us1fountain said, we already have an audio section...
No new phone over the winter. I'm generally pretty smart with this stuff, but couldn't get it to pair up. Granted, I didn't have much time to mess with it. I will get to it tonight or tomorrow. Damn work gets in the way of play.....
Damn didn't even know we had an audio section. As for the system I like it a lot. NAV works pretty well but I haven't tried to do anything more than point to point navigating. Bluetooth paired easily with both my S6 and iPhone Nano. Only problem is the iPod Bluetooth does cut in and out sometimes while my phone never does while streaming tunes. Still have the old 1.20.1 but no need yet to upgrade unless someone thinks it will fix my iPod streaming problem.

Try deleting the phone's profile on the bike & the bike's profile on the phone. I also try to limit the number of texting conversations stored on my phone; too many messages and/or messages that include images have created issues for me with past versions of Boom software. Then do a fresh re-link for the BT.
Don't know if it'll fix your issue, but it's worked for me in the past.
I have seen that Law Abiding Biker .com offers a highly informative tutorial for the Boom Box 6.5 system that for a price you can download. Might be useful if struggling to make sense of it. Harley Davidson website also have plenty of tutorial videos that are free.

Oh, OK. So you find what I have to say to be offensive? Sorry about that. If it upsets you that much, I'd suggest the "ignore" function.

I've used it before, it works great!
I don't find anything anyone says offensive unless it gets personal and so far that hasn't happened and I have no reason to ignore anyone. When I go on the forum I scan the threads, the things I find relative to me I look at, things I have no interest in I don't bother with. That's all...gonna be a good stretch of weather here in NY for the next few days, I hope to get some riding in hope you might do the same! Safe riding...
Ozbernie has the right idea i am a member of the Law Abiding Biker.com they do offer a lot of great material on upgrading are bikes. I have the Boom Box tutorial and learned a lot about the system. Brian urlanger covers the whole system. There's a lot to learn on are infotainment systems. Good Luck
