Ok ,hopefully someone will help
This is a weird problem
2015 roadglide special, tour pak with light bar installed
I have had some intermittent issues with the the bike throwing multiple odd codes
Harley blamed the tourpak lights but I call bull sh××
I bought a corbin dual tour last year with heat
When I plugged it up the way the corbin instructions said the service engine light came on as soon as I fired the bike up
Spoke with service depth, not their problem cause it's a corbin
I ordered the harness from hd for power accessories and tried connecting the seat again this year and as soon as I fired it up service engine light came on,I will pull the codes and post this evening
Also , a few times when I go to start the bike the fuel pump will run but when I hit the switch on the right handle bar it will do nothing, I can wait a few and it will start normally
I think I have a bad connection somewhere but I can't seem to figure this out
I just pulled the codes
There is a bunch
Ecmu0001,u0140,u0142,u0156
Bcm,u0001
Speed ,u0121,u0140,u0100,u0184
Abs u0001,u0003
Radio u0002, u0140
Thanks
I'm starting to think the problem starts within the Corbin Heated Seat wiring, not likely that the LED lights in the Tour Pak light bar would pull the Can-Bus system down like that, unless something wasn't wired correctly. I'm thinking that somehow Corbin or the HD harness you bought is interfering with the Can-Bus Communication line either to or from the BCM, maybe overloading it somehow.
Here are the list of U Codes from the HD Manual.
U0001 CAN BUS error
U0002 CAN comm bus perf error
U0003 Network management monitoring
U0100 Lost comm w/ECM
U0121 Lost comm W/ABS
U0140 Lost comm W/BCM
U0141 Lost comm w/LHCM
U0142 Lost comm w/RHCM
U0156 Lost comm w/SPEEDO
U0158 Lost comm w/fuel gauge
U0159 Lost comm w/volt gauge
U0160 Lost comm w/ fuel and volt gauge
U0184 Lost comm w/radio
U0185 Lost comm w/Amp 1
U0186 Lost comm w/ AMP 2
U1302 ACC bus perf error
U1401 Lost com w/CB
I spoke with a dealer a town over and they agreed to look at it Saturday
I am pretty damn sure this has thrown all these codes b4 seat was purchased
I wonder ( dealer installed apes when new) if there could be an issue in the handle bar wiring causing codes
I really don't understand can bus system

I'd put money (but not a lot cuz what do I know?) on the handlebar installation being the root cause here.
A can bus system in autos typically toggles at around 2.5V. All modules are connected with two wires, a high and a low. Any wire that touches power or ground will crash the system. GM uses combs to provide central points that can be used to isolate different components and help diag intermittent - this is where I always started, depending on which DTC's were set.
Your TBW would likely be on that circuit, so I'd start by disconnecting it prior to the point where the wires go into the bars. Disconnecting both switch harnesses should reduce the number of DTC's to just those components.
Hope you find it. Good news is, it's probably NOT a module; wiring is the cause of 90% of this stuff. And a bike's a whole lot less complex than a car...
